(released August 2024)

This EP comprises 4 tracks that are predominantly acoustic and guitar-based and could loosely be described as roots music. They also highlight John’s enduring fascination with folk instruments. The title track is a tribute to Ed Stilley’s incredible legacy of instruments; The Bosun’s Displeasure is a sea shanty that will not be released in any other format.

This is loosely a collection of Americana, although each track is very different. The Ballad of Johnny Ringo (the ‘single’ if you will, although it is something of a novelty number) is a stand-alone piece unique to this release, whereas the remaining 3 compositions are teasers from a forthcoming album.
